Humana Inc. Acquires DefenseWeb Technologies

LOUISVILLE, KY -- Humana Inc. announced the acquisition of California-based DefenseWeb Technologies, Inc., for an undisclosed sum.

DefenseWeb uses a combination of Internat-based and client applications to provide military and commercial organizations to address complex quality of life and healthcare issues, as well as automation and IT challenges.

Humana provides health benefits and support services to approximately 2.8 million active duty and retired military personnel.  The company expects that the transaction will have no material impact on the current year's earnings.
